What is Saorsat?
Saorsat is a proposed free to air satellite service which will complement Saorview, together providing 100% population coverage for the public broadcast stations.
When will Saorsat be launched?
SAORSAT will be available February / March of 2012.
How do I receive Saorsat?
Saorsat is a satellite service so to receive it you will need a satellite dish and compatible STB or TV. The exact satellite which Saorsat will be broadcast from has not been revealed, but it will not appear on Astra 28.2E (the satellite Sky and Freesat use). The satellite Saorsat will use has the ability to direct the signal beam over the island of Ireland, and only the island of Ireland.
